    Default Problems with PayPal Standard (IPN) - order status is processing

    I configured PayPal Standard (IPN) in the payment module using all of the correct settings (true, email, PDT, etc). I selected a product, checked out, paid for it using PayPal, was redirected back to my site, and received confirmed that I had made the payment.

    Unfortunately it did not give me the download link and when I checked the order is marked processing!

    Doing a little bit of research I think I know what the issue is but not how to fix it. The email address for PayPal is different than the email address listed on the payment confirmation email sent back to me from my site. I confirmed the PayPal module has the correct email.

    Where do I make the change so the email addresses match up???

    Sorry for the urgency but we are launching the site tomorrow.

    You're misinterpreting several things.

    1. "Processing" indicates that an order has been received and has been paid for, and is now sitting in "Processing" status waiting for your shipping department to finish "processing" the order by getting it packaged and shipped.
    So, if the order is in "Processing" status, that means your payment has been received properly.
    Thus, don't jump to wrong conclusions about email addresses or other things.

    2. Your problem would be MUCH BETTER DESCRIBED as "I did not get my download link".
    So, digging into that, there are only 3 reasons why a download link won't be made available:
    a) order hasn't been paid for (as I said already, this case doesn't apply in your situation)
    b) the customer didn't actually select the *actual* downloadable file attribute when they placed their order (LIKELY YOUR SITUATION, meaning your download attributes aren't set up properly)
    c) the customer has downloaded the item more than the max number of allowed times (not applicable yet in your case)

    Since files are tied to attributes, customers MUST select the attribute in order for the file to be included in the order.
    You can aid them in that process by making the attributes be radio-buttons with the "selected by default" option checked.

    Your order almost certainly has only a product on it, without any attributes listed. You can confirm that in your admin area as well as on your confirmation emails, and in the customer my-account area, and of course the customer would have been able to see the same fact in the shopping cart page.

    Thanks so much. I had missed making the attribute default. That did the trick! Appreciate the assist. Luckily I had only loaded 5 products so don't have to go back and fix too much stuff.
