Default Https in links but disabled ssl in config files

Hello fellow zenners...I have a problem that needs solving, but I can't seem to figure this one out by myself.

I set up Zen Cart on my server and at first I thought my server supported ssl so I enabled it in the installation.
But it turns out I couldn't use it so I followed this tutorial to disable the ssl:
    http://tutorials.zen-cart.com/index.php?article=15

The problem I am having is the login link to the login page starts with https instead of http, and a few of the sites scripts(such as the login page) submit data using the https version of my domain.

Anyway to fix this, or is there anything I missed when disabling the ssl?

    Edit-
I tried viewing the site on 2 different computers using firefox, ie and opera.

    I solved my own problem.
I deleted the original config file then uploaded the new edited one instead of overwriting the original.
