    Default New products not being added to products to categories table

    This is a highly modified cart that I inherited. The product is getting added to the products table but not to the products to categories table. I can't find what file that happens in to check it or the insert query.

    Most of the modifications are on the cart side not the admin in case that makes any difference.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    ah, this probably happens in update_product.php?

    In an unmodified cart it's written to the database at about line 82 of the admin/includes/modules/update_product.php file.

    But it's not quite that simple. You'll need to check that the data is properly collected by the relevant product type's collect_info file, not lost by the preview_info file and that there's not a custom update_product file for the product type getting in the way.

    map pricing is installed for this so I guess that's where I start.

    well, that didn't work. Reverted those files back to default.

    The other problem I've found is the auto increment not being correct on the tables and that was causing the categories not to be created correctly.

    That's now fixed. Can you think of anything else that could be affecting this?

    well, that didn't work. Reverted those files back to default.

    Now I just realized that it is not putting the product id into the products-to-categories table but it is putting an entry.
