Picture says it all

Hey everyone - I have attached a file where I have photo-shopped in what I'm looking to do.

1) I've created a category of new "up & coming" artists
2) Want to put them front & center as shown

I guess it really isn't essential to get the side-box look but as long as I can separate the category from my main one's at the top, I'll be happy with it.

oops... I just realized that adding the artist as a category is not going to cut..... I'm not selling them... I just want folks to click on the picture which will go to their website. I'm ok with html and can setup a page with pictures and links but still need to figure out how to get this Up & Coming feature front & center....thx

One way you could do it would be to use banners. You can have rotating banners of your featured artists in a sidebox, or a static group of banners featuring several at a time in a sidebox.

Just use the Record Companies sidebox, then if you really wanted, you could modify that to be an Artists sidebox, there's a thread on here somewhere about doing just that

Can you put a sidebox front and center like the one in my picture ? If so, what kind of parameters do I give it ? Thx
