Categories show as pictures on home page click the picture to go to categories.

Can anybody answer how to input pictures and have them all showing on the home page? When you click the picture then you go to the categories. So each category whether its pants, shirts, socks has a picture, and you click the picture to move into that category. Then in the category you show the items and have the attribute options: such as size, color, type of fabric etc....

I've been searching how to do this for one week...and have not seen any threads on this subject or anyone's website designed like this with Zen Cart and am not even sure this is possible.

Any leads, threads and suggestions would be most appreciated.

Admin > Catalog > Categories/Products > edit category > add image.
If you have category images and they are not showing on the home page,
Configuration > Layout Settings > Categories - Always Show on Main Page ->set to 1
Main Page - Opens with Category ->set to 0

If that doesn't work, we will need to see your site live. Some template makers disable standard functionality like this.

Thanks for the response I will try those changes. My site is still undergoing construction... do you know how to remove all the banner boxes both the right and left side? Thanks so much!

All sideboxes are controlled in admin > Tools > Layout Boxes Controller. Turn off the ones you don't want.
