We apologize for the inconvenience, but the credit card you entered is not one that we accept. Please use a different credit card or verify that the details you entered are correct, or contact the store owner for assistance.

That happens when you enter a card type that's not enabled under Admin->Configuration->Credit Cards ... or when you enter an invalid card number.
    It's completely unrelated to Cardinal.

    Ive had this error

Error Authentication Failed - Your financial institution has indicated that it could not successfully authenticate this transaction. To protect against unauthorized use, this card cannot be used to complete your purchase. You may complete the purchase by selecting another form of payment.

    Also Invalid Vendor Account (26)

One of my cards, it got me to set up extra security by allocating a password then failed my card with the Error Authentication Failed
    message.

Ive got this to work !!!!!!!!!!!

1st issue was that was that Id put the wrong cardinal password.
    I know why this happened.

After this I got a 26 - Invalid Vendor Account message

2nd issue .... it isnt just a case of adding your cardinal details into the module/payment/Paypal Website Payments Pro (UK).

I also had to go into the Paypal Express Settings and change the
Paypal Mode from "Paypal" to "Payflow-UK"

Then 4 Payflow boxes appear, then you complete the details

The 1st box was set to PAYFLOW: Partner = PaypalUK
the other 3 boxes are details that are specific to your account.

My 2nd box and 3rd box ended up with the same value.

    A newbie question about centinel.

Trying to use ZC with Paypal Pro. ZC ver 1.3.9h hosted by Godaddy if this helps.

At the moment I'm not registered with Centinel, is there any way to use Paypal Pro with ZC without registration? I'm receiving this error:

Cardinal Lookup 3[n4gdnn61eft6cfa01q1uun2ao6] Cardinal Centinel -
    cmpi_lookup error - 1002, 2002, 4020, 2020, 4000 - Error Processing Lookup
Request Message, Invalid Merchant Id or Processor Id, Error Validating
Merchant Id Value, Invalid Transaction Password, Error Validating Processor
    Id Value

There are 3 steps to configuring your Cardinal 3D-Secure service properly:
1-Login to the Cardinal Merchant Admin URL supplied in your welcome package
(NOT the test URL), and accept the license agreement.
    2-Set a transaction password.
3-Copy your Cardinal Merchant ID and Cardinal Transaction Password into your
    ZC PayPal module.

For specific help, please contact [email protected] to sort out
    your account configuration issues.

Problem observed while customer 1 Val was attempting checkout with
3D-Secure authentication. THEIR PURCHASE WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL. Please resolve
this matter to enable future checkouts.
    ----------------------
Indeed, no value for Cardinal Processor ID etc. are set up. But this 3d secure stuff is meant to be optional as I understand, can I just switch it of temporary - just to be able to show my client a working shop?

Second question, if anyone knows... Paypal documentation reads:

    Cardinal Commerce Registration and Installation

Before you can use Cardinal Centinel to obtain cardholder authentication:

Register with Cardinal by filling in a simple form: http://www.paypal-business.co.uk/3Dsecure.asp. (this URL also cited in the beginning of this thread). But the URL does not exists! I'll try to ask Paypal but does anyone here know where it has gone?

You need to contact PayPal to sort out those issues, and contact Cardinal to register.
