That text is required by your card company. Why are you trying to remove it?

must be new... the links associated with the images and javascript popup windows do not work. when clicked they open up a popup window that gives a 404 error page not found. that coupled with the strange (new) statement seems better out than in until i figure out how to get it to work properly...

Sounds like you didn't put in all the files from the new version.

You'll need to track down the files that the popup is looking for, by looking in the URL of that popup, and finding the file(s) that it's trying to load, and upload them to your server.
Your server's apache errorlog can be of help too, since it will record the specific cause of the 404 message.

I'm a little confused about this. I'm using Paypal Payments Pro but this service is with Cardinal Commerce who I don't have a business relation with. Is this required for just Paypal or for all payment gateways e.g. Authorize.net?

I contacted Paypal regarding the necessity of the Visa and Mastercard issue noted above. They told me it is not a requirement to use Paypal Website Payments Pro. Therefore I am deleting it! It is completely confusing to my customers and if it WAS required by Paypal I would be switching services.
