Default New admin file after upgrade to 1.3.9b

Okay, this might seem like a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway since I've been told that the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask...

I renamed my admin folder as suggested, and I upgraded to 1.3.9b which created a new admin folder. My gut instinct is to move the files from the new admin file into my renamed admin file. Is this the correct way to handle this?

Yes, it is. Then remove the empty 'admin' folder. If you move the admin/includes/configure.php file, you'll have to edit it again to reflect the new folder name.

I would rename your current admin folder - whatever it is called - to blahblah-old, and then rename /admin to whatever the right name you now use is.

You'll need to edit the config file. Only when everything is working, remove the old version.

As long as the end result is that your (renamed) admin folder contains the NEW v1.3.9b versions of files, and not the OLD versions.

THANK YOU! it worked like a charm. I copied the new files into my renamed admin folder and then changed the configure.php to reflect my new admin name. Thanks again
