Can Paypal Pro be used without requiring Zen Cart and Paypal account?

Hello. I am looking at using Paypal Pro. Would I be able to setup my site so that a customer can pay by credit card (from my site) without a Paypal Account AND without an account with my store?

I had installed the "Checkout without Account" module, which worked fine but when I turned on the Paypal Pro module it seems like customers are now required to at the very least register an account with my store. I guess the only difference between registering an account and filling out their billing/shipping info is just that now they are required to create a password. It's a small difference, but I would like to get rid of the need to create a password.

WPP has some strict requirements (on PayPal's side).

What WPP enables is a CCard input facility on YOUR checkout, so there is no "obvious" re-direct to PayPal's site.

BUT... you need to fulfil certain requirements at PayPal, and your server also needs to be PCI-DSS compliant.

PayPal indicates that if your business is turning over less than $100,000 annually, then it's probably better to use PP Standard.

Zeccart is CONFIGURED for WPP, so it's not an issue with this software.

Thanks for the info. Is requiring registering an account with zen cart (ie. creating a password at my store) a requirement for Paypal? I would imagine it's not. Does anyone know a module that I can use so that customer can truly checkout without creating an account?

A critical and unavoidable aspect of CCard authorisation is the provision of a valid BILLING address. You cannot bypass this step if you intend to facilitate the collection of card data on your own site.

This is the case for EVERY webshop in existence.

Even the FEC module will require customers to provide a billing address.

Without this info, the card cannot (and will not) be processed.
