Updating a Local site from a Live one.

I have my website upgraded Locally to 1.3.9b and a functioning, Live site running 1.3.8a. This is how I have gone about updating my Local site with the Live site - (please tell me if I've done anything which may cause problems down the track.)
1.Backed up a copy of the Live database.
2.Opened my Local DB in PHPmyadmin and imported the backed-up (138a)DB straight over the top of the Local (139b) DB.
3.Entered zc_install, on the Local site, followed through to the "upgrade-only" option and selected that.
4.Entered admin and changed "down for maintenance" to operational again (it seems to put the site down for maintenance when upgrading)

Is that ok? Everything seems to be working ok.

This is exactly how I have been doing things so hopefully there will be no knock on effects later on. It will be good to hear from anyone if there is any better way of doings things or if we have over looked anything doing it this way.

Can anyone else confirm that this is the correct way to update a Local 139b site from a Live 138a site?
