Express auto account creation email

I have Paypal express sandbox setup and it all seems to work. However, the email that is sent to the customer which welcomes them to the site and informs them of their account username and password, has a problem.

in the HTML email, below the logo is:

$EMAIL_GREETING,
$EMAIL_WELCOME

For some reason, these variables have not been set.
This issue is not seen when an account is manually created by the customer.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

That issue was fixed in 1.3.9c. Upgrade and you are done
