Custom Contact Form - New Input Fields

Hi,

I'm trying to add new contact field to my site's contact page.

I edited the tpl_Contact_us page and contact_us.php files to add the fields. However when I try test messages the new fields don't get sent in the email.

I know I have to edit the file where the form is actually sent from to add those new fields, however i don't know which files!

Any help is appreciated.

I found the file but now I cant figure out where to add my new form IDs

Here's an example of a customized type of contact-us form, copied from contact-us and retrofitted to collect several fields of data as registration details.
You can use it as inspiration. The discussion in the rest of the thread may be useful too.

Thanks. I ended up having to put the final touches (missing parts) in contact_us.php file
