    Default Merchant services - processing Laser transactions

    Here in Ireland we have a debit card system called "Laser". I don't think it's in use in any other country.

    At present we use Ceon Manual Card to process transactions offline but would like to be able to link into an online gateway. There's no shortage of companies who can process Mastercard and Visa but I haven't found any who can do Laser.

    Has any other Zen Cart user in Ireland been through this?

    We could open a new online account with our existing merchant services provider (Elavon) but I'm keen to know if there are alternatives.

    Regards

    Nick

    Sage Pay support Laser with Euro accounts only and only with the following merchant account providers:

    * Allied Irish Bank
    * Natwest Streamline / Ulster Bank
    * Elavon (Bank of Ireland/Alliance & Leicester)

    Quite a few Irish companies use Realex. It's not the cheapest but it does support Laser.

    Iridium also supports Laser and is cheaper than Realex.

    So there's plenty of options for you really! :)

    Hope that helps.

    All the best..

    Hi Nichgreaves, I'm sure you have this setup at this stage, but I am in the process of setting up realex myself. there is a realex add on you can get from the zen cart add on section to make life easier.
    If you have set yourself up at this stage, what did you go with in the end?
