    Default From Log: "unable to set private key"

    Using Zen Cart 1.39d
    I am testing the Linkpoint payment module and getting the standard error message in the browser: :
    <We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are presently unable to contact the Credit Card company for authorization. Please contact the Store Owner for payment alternatives.>

    I check the debug log from the transaction and see:
    Jun-21-2010 02:47:12
    =================================

    Communication Result: 58 - unable to set private key file:

    My private key is passphrase protected. Will it work under those conditions, or do I need a non-password-protected private-key file?

    The passphrase and private key file are supplied by FirstData, not you.

    I thought the error message referred to the SSL on the server, not the certificate I downloaded from FirstData. I followed the instructions provided by your link to a "T" before posting. I don't know what I should try next.

    Yours is the first I've ever seen this with FirstData/Linkpoint and Zen Cart.
    I suggest you contact FirstData for tech support.

    I downloaded the certificate again and discovered that the one I had on the server contained only the certificate. It was missing the private key. Doh!
