stumped.. really stumped Error 500...again

I'm sure this will be simple for someone here, but I on the other hand am completly stumped... I'm attempting to upgrade from 1.3.8 to 1.3.9d ... I'v uploaded everything to the server... (in a seperate direcotry from my current working store and when I attempt to go to the install/upgrade page to run the sql upgrade I get a 500 internal server error..... Check the log files, nothing with reference even to any files in the directory where the new store is...

I've enabled logging, with nothing showing in the cache (yes it's writable)

and I've added the script to display errors on screen... still nothing... just an internal server error... Even the server log is blank as far as I can see..

and I'm running on a fatcow server....

I've even excluded the configuration files by removing them and trying the install from scratch, once again no dice...

any help greatly appriciated...

Edit from above...

It appears to have been something I did in moving over my template..... I tried using the origianl version from zen-cart.com and it works fine...

Thanks anyways and I guess this would be a lesson to us all
