Fast and Easy Checkout is hiding!

So I installed Numinix' fast and easy checkout.

I did all the installs and double checked my work and it simply will not show up. Everyting still works (thankfully) so I didn't mess up my actuall code.

But is there a switch or something I'm missing to turn it on?

The controls are in an option at the bottom of Admin - Configuration. Do you mean that doesn't show up, or you've enabled FEC in admin and the FEC checkout page doesn't appear ?

You'd think they make it fool proof and have the first instruction to be go to
Admin->Configuration->Fast and Easy Checkout Configuration
And turn it on.


Now I just feel foolish. But thank you once again!

I DO have FEC turned on in Admin, and it IS still hiding. It seems to be hiding behind the regular login page that appears during checkout. That login page, before FEC, had PayPal express, create account, and login, all in three little panes. After installing FEC, it's all the same, expect for a small amount of text heading at the top that is a little garbled (coming from FEC?).

So, FEC, won't turn on, but I can turn on Easy Login in the FEC toolkit, and Easy Login seems to look and work fine. But nothing for FEC -- can't get it to appear no matter what, except that little bit of garbled text on the ordinary three panel login page after hitting checkout from the shopping cart.

Does FEC not work because paypal express was installed prior to FEC?

I am seeing the same thing, I enable it in admin and still nothing... I read this part under tips

Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart is activated by loading an extra_configures file called checkout.php before the filenames.php file. This causes definitions for the checkout links to be defined to direct customers to the new integrated checkout page.


The file is uploaded... is it in the wrong spot maybe? Could really use some help on this. Thanks guys. I tried to create an account on numinix but it never sends the confirmation emails
