How do make the main menu tabs into images?

Hi, I would like to change the attributes of the main menu bars so I can use photoshoped tabs giving a more elegant feel to the website.

If you go to my page at www.qnecomputing.com.au, you'll see the effect I created with the side menu bars (black blended into grey), I would like to create the same affect for the horizontal bars; Home, Products, Information, Contact Us, My Account, Shopping Cart.

How would I go about doing this?

Sorry, I was in a hurry. Seeing part of your stylesheet, it already has rules for main and submenu images, in the two commented-out lines. They are written slightly differently, but would do the same kind of thing as my suggestion.
