I tried this option on three testing account hotmail,gmail, mailcity and the customer didn't get any new password ? Why is that? Please this is a very crucial issue and it needs to be fixed as so soon as possible! Please help !

Go to your Admin and try to send an email to yourself ... meaning use one of your domain email addresses ...
This is just to test does the email work ...
Once you get that, try sending to the other addresses from the admin ... do they work? This is to test if you are some how blacklisted ...
