Taxes not working

Hello,

I need to charge a 7% tax charge to anyone buying within the state of florida. I made florida a zone, and set it to 7% tax...i add items to my own cart and when checkin out it does not charge me tax.

Is there anything im not doing correctly?

Check your Zone Definition ...

Example:
Zone Name: Florida
Description: Florida local sales tax zone

Check the DETAILS ...
Country: United States
Zone: Florida

Check the Tax Rate ...
Tax Class Title: Taxable Goods
Zone: Florida
Tax Rate (%): 7.0000
Description: FL TAX 7.0%
Tax rates at the same priority are added, others are compounded.
Priority: 1

Now when you look at the Zone Definition the status should be a green dot ...

Then, check your Products that they are setup for Taxable Goods ...

Does the sales tax just get added when the customer checks out and they specify their location?

For example if someone is from Florida then they get taxed the Florida sales tax?

The tax will show when the customer checks out ...

You could turn on the Display with Taxes, but that would show to Guests, until they either create an account or login to see if the tax should show ...

NOTE: I, myself, am more encouraged to buy that widget for $25.00 than I am to buy it for $26.69 ... even though it will be $26.69 in the end ...
