Customize Information Side Box

I spent hours over the course of two days searching for the solution to customizing the links contained in the Information side box.

All of the solutions I found required various alterations and customizations to the code, including the solution offered in the Zen Cart Tutorials and FAQ's.

I finally got lucky and stumbled over this solution provided by schoolboy:

This is the best solution I have seen as it involves NO code changes and creates a situation where all of those links are easily controlled via the admin with ez pages. This allows anyone, including the end user, to add, change the order, or remove links at any time without altering any code.

Thank you schoolboy. It took me all of 10 minutes to change, add and organize the information box exactly how I wanted it.

english.php to change the "Important Links" header to "Information".

I was wondering where that file is. I found the english.php that contained:

define('BOX_INFORMATION_CONDITIONS', 'Conditions of Use');

define('BOX_INFORMATION_CONTACT', 'Contact Us');

define('BOX_BBINDEX', 'Forum');

define('BOX_INFORMATION_UNSUBSCRIBE', 'Newsletter Unsubscribe');

but could not find the one that contained "important links", even just a search for "links" came up with nothing

This way of adding and replacing pages is fantastic... just want to re-name that box ;)

Use the developers toolkit to find in which file things arelocated:

Admin/Tools/Developers Tool Kit

At the very bottom "Look up in all files"
