Other thread is closed; PayPal order not showing up

Okay...this is pretty much a brand new install of Zen cart, and I haven't added a lot of hacks or anything. I've just received my first order through it, and got payment.

But no order details. I have NO IDEA what my customer purchased. I've emailed her to find out, but this is really embarrassing.

Does anyone know what the problem is? I am using the basic PayPal system, but had been planning to switch...just didn't want to pay the $30.00 per month fees just yet.

But I need to know when I have orders and what's been purchased so I can get them in the mail.

As always, any help at all is much appreciated.

I just removed the basic thing, and installed PayPal Express. Has anyone experienced the same problems with it?

No way to know what the problem was, but Express is much more reliable than Standard. Did you try a test order ?

No, because I'm not sure how. If I send the order to PayPal, it's going to...what? pay me? Explode?

Unfortunatly, I don't know anyone else with PayPal that I can (comfortably) ask to place an order just so I can make sure everything works.

I just use a personal credit card and pay through Paypal Express. You'll be paying yourself, so nothing is lost except the fees, and you can refund the payment to save those.

You can also have one personal Paypal account and one business account, so you could use that.
