Default Edited meta-tag.php, now site is blank

I went to my meta-tag.php file to change the name of the site but when I saved it the site went blank. What did I do wrong?

Fixed it by re-uploading the meta-tags.php file. Still don't know what I did wrong, but I'll try it again.

Edit: problem was an apostrophe in the text I added in. D'oh!!

You probably left out a closing ; or had extra spaces at the end of the file. What are you using to edit?

See above post. Is there any way to leave the apostrophe in?
