upgrade 1.3.9d to e my admin area still says i need to upgrade

Ver: 1.3.9d

I have downloaded (to desktop) the new update release v1.3.9e
The directions say I only need to update changelog.

I have uploaded to folder in server and can see it but my admin area still says i need to upgrade..

very new please help!

NOTE:
If you're upgrading from v1.3.9a or b or c or d, you can simply update the files listed in the various "Changelog for v1.3.9b" or "c" or "d" in the /docs/ folder of the download zip.
(There are no database changes between v1.3.9a-b-c-d-e.)
(NOTE: If you already have v1.3.9d then you don't need to remove-and-reinstall payment modules when going from "d" to "e", since there were no major settings changes inside those modules.)

You need to upload all the files listed in the 1.3.9d changelog, not the changelog file itself, if I understand your question.
