ie7 and chrome different than ie8 and firefox

Hi, Having problems with my site. Firefox and ie8 are correct, ie7 and chrome are not. Please view here

I would love the text in the peach coloured bar to be centered vertically in all browsers, but when I managed this in firefox and ie8 the text was half out of the box ( too high ) in ie7 and chrome

I hope someone can tell me there is a simple solution.

Amazing, I spend hours trying to sort this with no luck then 15 mins after submiting thread I think I have cracked it. Had to put a minus padding in .category icon.
css for that now looks like this

margin-top: 0em;
margin-bottom: 2em;
width: 100%;
font-size: 1.2em;
font-weight: bold;
text-align: left;
vertical-align: top;
font color: #ee5500;
padding-top: -1em;
}
