Default loging in directs me from an https page to an http and it causes an error

    Hey there fellow zencarters.

Having a wee problem with my cart @ http://www.bigmenslargeclothes.co.uk/. When I click on the login link I get brought to the the login page which is https...

when I type in my username and password and click login, I get redirected to the main page but it's an http page (ie without the S)

Going from a secure https to a non secure http results in an error in IE6 which might be a bit off putting to customers.

I've checked other zencarts and they seem to stay on https whenever you login. I'm not sure why my one doesn't. Does anyone know how to make it stay in https?

to test to see what i mean you can try logging in (using ie6) with
username- test AT gmail DOT com
    password-testing

    it's doin my loaf in!

it's version 1.3.7, I've tried it on a couple of different machines running ie6 and the error appeared in both.

I'm told that Under Tools --> Internet Options -->Advanced there is a setting which says something like "Warn if being redirected to non-secure url". This is turned on by default in ie6 apparently, perhaps it's turned off on your version?

Either way it still seems like other zencarts don't move from https to http when they login, so I'd like to get mine back to that.

I appreciate your help, and thanks for the compliment :) I will make the logo into a link as you suggest.

It shows that error message to me in IE6. Have you installed any mods that affect the login page ?

I also received a SMTP error when I created my account (in IE8).

No not that I know of. I do have some mods installed but none that could have made any changes to the login page.

And you're saying you're receiving a different error, is there any good way to debug this? Please help me, this site's live - or at least it's meant to be!

For the record though, I don't get an SMTP (what ever that it) error, does anyone else get this?

I'm still having a problem with this. Is anyone able to tell me how come when I log in it goes from https -> http? I've googled the b'jesus out of it but still cant figure it out. Either that or I don't understand what the problem is.

    thanks

Your redirect appears to be a result of whatever URL rewriting you're doing and your so-called SEO URL addon. Remove all that crud and it should work properly as originally designed.
