Default Re: Patch from Changelog or full install 9d to 9f?

Wow! Rake a newbie over the coals guys! Elsewhere in this or another ZenCart forum I was told to follow the instructions in 2.readme_how_to_upgrade.html. This is very different than simply "write over these files." Can you fault me for being too careful and making sure? Maybe I'm not the only one who prefers clarity over ambiguity.

On the other hand, I've got a problem as stated above and neither of you addressed that? Tsk, tsk.

I'm still having this loop issue from the login page, clicking on the Checkout button and it taking me back to the login page. I'd really love some help with that.

By the way, I figured out why I couldn't get in the admin, had to use the username and password from the old site. So that's not an issue.

    Thanks in advance.

Why does your URL that you posted have two .com in it?

It's a work-around because the domain is not DNS'd to this site yet.

I just created an account on the site and then logged out and re-logged in without a problem. I will wait an hour or so, to make sure any sessions are dead and try logging in again.

I appreciate your help. Going crazy here.

Creating the account is not the problem. I tested it by creating a new account too in case my original moved/imported account was the problem. It's going to the checkout that's the problem.

Since the next page is the shipping page, I uninstalled and reinstalled the two shipping options from the admin/modules/shipping, two added flat rate options.

Does this mean you're doing an upgrade while at the same time also changing between servers?
It's always best to do one OR the other at a time, then sort out all the issues *before* doing the other.
Otherwise it's impossible to rule out whether a problem like this is related to something gone wrong when uploading files, or a problem on the new server, a problem with settings in the configure.php files, a problem with wrongly imported data, or merely a problem with not uploading the new version files properly, etc.

Did you clear your browser's cache and cookies since upgrading files?

If it's taking you to login, then it's very unlikely that the problem would be related to shipping modules. Instead, it's likely related to sessions and cookies, a browser issue. Or maybe something wrong with the server configuration in terms of its ability to handle PHP sessions properly. Could be a misconfigured domain.

Thanks for the help and reply.

Yes, cleared the browser's cache. I did not clear the cookies. Will try that.

After the upgrade on the original server, everything worked properly and is still running and working properly.

Only then did I make the move. If some of the above posts didn't indicate my caution at every step...

Clearing the cookies did the trick. Thanks!
