    Default ZJ_Black_2 template: nav bar alignment

    Hello,
    After 7 years working with Zen Cart the website (www.anamorfose.be) needs a new look.

    As template we've selected zj_black_2. A good base.
    The development site is http://collectors-room.eu/zc
    This is a fresh installation version 1.3.9d

    In addition to the basic template the Footer Menu and the Alternative Header modules have been installed.

    There 4 problems I can't solve and I would appreciate some help from you:

    • header bar: Home and Log In aren't on the same line;
    • nav Bar: the categories are in rows and should be in columns;
    • breadcrumb: is activated in the admin but doesn't appear;
    • alignment of the textarea: the original template is variable width. I've changed to fix width in the css. The alignment should be center.

    All other comments and suggestions are really welcome.
    Regards,
    Xavier

    1 & 2 - Add the red part:

    #navMain ul li a, #navSupp ul li a, #navCatTabs ul li a {
    text-decoration: none;
    padding: 0em 0.5em;
    margin: 0;
    color: #fff;
    white-space: nowrap;
    display:inline;
    }

    4 - Remove the width statement from the body rule.

    Thank you, Stevesh, for your quick reply. The nav bars are now almost ok. I only need to reposition the text. No problem.

    I didn't integrate your solution for the fourth problem. Variable width doesn't work so good on smaller screens. Therefore I included the fix width in the body.

    The only problem is that the alignment isn't so good then.
    Isn't there another solution for the alignment of the body?

    Thank you for your kind help,

    Xavier

    Don't use a width in the body rule. Set your cart's width in #mainWrapper. You can use % or number of pixels. Most of my sites run around 960-980 pixels.

    That works.
    It looks already better.

    thank you a lot,

    Xavier
