We have upgraded to 1.3.9f and now have the new version of Paypal Pro with 3D Secure working properly. Its great having the extra layer of security but unfortunately it's causing us more problems with orders taken over the phone than we anticipated.
Previously, we would add items to the cart as the client read them to us over the phone. We would then ask them for all the required login/checkout details and process their card payment throught the site front end which worked like a dream for both the client and ourselves.
Now, the payment module takes us to a 3D secure layer after card details have been asked for and asks for the client's bank password, which we obviously can't ask for. So we're left with the following options:
1. Either take the address and card details manually and type them straight into our ordering/invoicing software and take the payment manual using the virtual terminal (Means we don't have the order on Zencart for either the client's reference or ours. Also we have alomost finished developing an API that automatically brings over the order details from Zencart to our invoicing software, so those orders will not benefit from that efficiency)
2. Or Enter the order through the front end of the site as usual but when we get to checkout, manually record the card details, take the payment through the virtual terminal. then switch on the ceon manual card module in admin, refresh several times until the ceon card fields appear in checkout, enter the details and complete the order - Works, but long-winded and messy.
I have seen modules that allow orders to be taken in admin, but I guess the payment would still have to be taken manually and we wouldn't have the benefit of helping the clients through the front end of the site as we add the products.
Assuming we can't toggle the 3D secure layer on/off as admin requires, then is there any way that we can have a "hidden" or "password protected" checkout option that allows us to use the ceon manual card module (or similar) so that we can take the payment later through our Virtual terminal.
Any other options or suggestions would also be gratefully received as this is driving us mad.
