Need help on changing admin filename

I have just installed the software successfully but it is now asking me to change the filename (admin) I have followed the instructions but it still will not give me access can somebody help me.

You can change the folder name using a few different programs. I assume you have ftp access. Just rename that admin directory to something totally obscure. Then edit the configuration.php file in the newadminname/includes/ directory. You should be good to go.

For some reason nothing is working I do this:-

change admin filenames to something else

Then update configure.php in .../admin/includes/configure.php then change:-

  define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/admin/');
  define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/');
  define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', '/admin/');
  define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/'); 

and

  define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/home/elececou/domains/electronicenterprise.co.uk/public_html/admin/');
  define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/elececou/domains/electronicenterprise.co.uk/public_html/'); 

am I right if so this does not work from me anybody got any ideas to get this working today.

Silly old me if anybody else has had this problem make sure you read this:-

D - What if it doesn't work?
If it doesn't work, then you've missed one or more of the steps. THE MOST COMMON MISTAKE is ignoring the read-only vs writable alert in BRIGHT RED TEXT in step A.
