Default An Error has Occurred (0 <!-- Approved -->)

I'm running ZC 1.3.9g with COWOA, Stamps.com, Apsona, master pw, and TY package tracker add-ons.

I just had a call from a customer that recevived an error placing an order. I also received an e-mail from ZC with the following subject line:
An Error has Occurred (0 <!-- Approved -->)

The order was not added to ZC but the payment was successful. I saw some posts about this from 2008 but couldn't find anything that applied to 1.3.9. Any idea what happened?

Is there a particular reason why you posted this under the PayPal Express Checkout section?
What payment modules do you have installed?
Was there anything in the body of the email?

Sorry. I've got a cold and I'm not firing on all eight. Here's the text of the e-mail with the customer info edited out. UIt says that PP Express checkout was used.

    Dear store owner,
An error occurred when attempting to initiate a PayPal Express Checkout
transaction. As a courtesy, only the error "number" was shown to your
customer. The details of the error are shown below.

There are several things wrong with the details you've posted, at least according to v1.3.9g:

    1. If this is indeed an Express Checkout transaction, the email subject line would have said "ALERT: PayPal Express Checkout Error"
    2. The TransactionSubmission details you've posted are actually Payflow details, as in it's passing parameter values that aren't built-in to core Zen Cart, thus suggesting that you're using an addon for Payflow Pro perhaps?
    3. You're reporting an AuthCode being received, which doesn't happen with Express Checkout transactions, further confirming that this is really a Website Payments Pro or a Payflow Pro transaction.
    4. The AuthCode you've reported is '111111', which generally only happens when using the sandbox, and not in live production mode.

I can't see how any transactions would be working at all if this is how your store is configured.

You are correct that I have the Payflow module configured and working. I also have PP Express active. I based my statement that it was Express Checkout on the line in the e-mail that said:

An error occurred when attempting to initiate a PayPal Express Checkout transaction.

The Payflow module is in live mode. I fact I logged in as the customer and completed the transaction using the Payflow module right after getting off the phone with her. This makes more sense since she indicated to me that she did not pay using Paypal but entered all the card info on my website. Other transactions seem to be working fine.

I went back and verified that the module is set to live. It is. I also went back through prior orders that processed correctly and they all had an auth code of 111111. None had anything different. I also checked another site which is running 1.3.8 and the auth code reported for CC transactions on that site is the same. I went back through the exported order data from the site when it was hosted at Volusion and the auth numbers there were always 111111 too.

Okay, evidently PayPal's use of Payflow doesn't pass on the actual authcode to you.
