Your logo.gif should go in includes/templates/your_custom_template/images

You appear to be using and modifying the classic template, and your changes will be lost on upgrade. Before you make too many changes, learn about Zen Cart's override system in the FAQ.
    (Search for "overrides".)
Here's a couple of articles to start you off:

Did you put the image in /includes/templates/your_template/images/? That is where template images should go, not in the base /images/ folder which is for product images.

    ...old tab... :)

OK... So.... Ive followed article 142 and included all those CUSTOM folders. I called them Dog_jumps.

But how does the Zencart programing know to look in there? And do I now just copy the files I edit to those locations? And that back strip, how do I change that?

Since you started by modifying the classic template, you should copy all files in /classic/ folders to the neighboring /Dog_jumps/ folders (except template_info.php).

The exact "how" is far too complex to go into here, but Zen Cart always, when it is about to execute a file, looks in the current template folder to see if there is a custom version of the file. If there is, it uses that; if not, it uses the stock version.

OK so im still stuck... I have now placed a file called logo.gif into the following directory:

    /public_html/includes/templates/Dog_jumps/images

And yet it stays the Zencart logo?

Your active template is still /classic/. Have you made the Dog_jumps version of template_info.php as the directions say to do? Have you selected the new template in Tools > Template Selector?

    LOL... OK GREAT....

Thank you it works. Only problem now is that it reverted my whole site back to the start... well some of it.
