I'm having trouble with this, too. I've done exactly as the other poster has done, but I don't even get "To download your files click the download button and choose "Save to Disk" from the popup menu."

I've printed, read, highlighted and checked off multiple tutorials as I've worked. Nothing addresses anything I'm not already doing. One tutorial does say that if I'm getting the shipping screen at all, my Product isn't set up correctly, which is the case, but it doesn't point to anywhere suggesting a fix.

Your situation is quite different: Your download links are not appearing because the orders haven't been paid-for. That's exactly why instead of download links it specifically tells you: "NOTE: Downloads are not available until payment has been confirmed".

Once you go and update the customer's order to a paid status, instead of just pending, the downloads will be available.

It was a "freebie" costing $0.00 and "paid for" with the ZEN FREE CARD. It also happened with orders I paid for during testing, too. I'll check out everything else posted in this thread and see if anything applies.

In the meantime, though... :)

Is there any way to make that status update automatically when the $0.00 is paid for using the ZEN FREE CARD? I hate to make people wait for the product until I'm back at my PC.

Yes: edit that payment module (Admin->Modules->Payment) and set its order-status to "Processing". Future orders will then be set to "Processing" when completed.
