    Default UPS module saying "Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time"

    Hi the shipping modules in my store are not working with the exception of free shipper all of the other modules say "Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time." I am using 1.39d and my settings for my ups module (THE ONLY ONE ENABLED) are the following :
    Enable UPS Shipping
    True
    UPS Pickup Method
    CC
    UPS Packaging?
    CP
    Residential Delivery?
    RES
    Handling Fee
    0
    Handling Per Order or Per Box
    Box
    Tax Class
    --none--
    Tax Basis
    Shipping
    Shipping Zone
    --none--
    Sort order of display.
    0

    Also none of the products are always free shipping

    Country of Origin United States
    Postal Code 42122 Info
    Enter the Maximum Package Weight you will ship 250 Info
    Package Tare Small to Medium - added percentage:weight 0:3 Info
    Larger packages - added packaging percentage:weight 10:0 Info
    Display Number of Boxes and Weight Status 3 Info
    Order Free Shipping 0 Weight Status 0 Info
    Shipping Estimator Display Settings for Shopping Cart 1 Info
    Display Order Comments on Admin Invoice 1 Info

    The address was my address here in the states the weight was 5lbs I tried several items also maximum weight to ship is set to 250 lbs

    The Maximum Weight for UPS is 150 but that would result in extra charges ... 50 or 70 is better ...

    Tare Rates, if you do not want extra charges should be set to: 0:0

    On the UPS shipping module, do you have selected all of the checkboxes?

    Is this a Clean install or an Upgrade?

    Yes it is a fresh install, maximum weight was 50 and it did not work so I made it higher to see if that was the issue. All boxes are selected.

    I cannot repeat this issue ...

    Check your settings on the Configuration ... My Store ... that you have the United States and Kentucky set ...

    Check the modules installed in the Modules ... Shipping ... and make sure just UPS is installed and that all other shipping modules are not installed, red icon, and if they are installed click on them and hit REMOVE ...

    Check the Product and see if either it is set to Virtual or Free Shipping or if the Product Module starts with:
    GIFT

    Just for giggles and grins ... do you see any debug logs in the /cache directory?

    If you switch to the Classic Template does this change anything?

    I have a similar problem with Gift Certificate products. I noted in your reply to jasong you asked if his product model # starts with GIFT. The only products I get the error "Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time." is with gift certificates. My GC model numbers start with GIFT (and there are no other products in the shopping cart.) My customer can't move beyond Step 1 of checkout to purchase the Gift Certificate. In my case there is no shipping involved although I do have the UPS module installed (likely the UPS module is not the problem). If another product is added to the shopping cart that requires shipping then everything works normally.

    jasong said he was using GIFT product numbers too so how does that cause the error trap to stop the process?

    With only the Gift Certificate in the Cart, you should not even be seeing the checkout_shipping page at all ...

    Make sure that the product is set with the Product Model starting with:
    GIFT

    and that the Product is marked as:
    Product is Virtual: Yes, Skip Shipping Address
