bug Amazon Payments - yes or no?

    Hi everyone,

I'm currently researching gateways and came across amazon payments, I noticed that it isn't talked about much, I'm asking to be filled in...

Is there any reason why i shouldn't use it? Just don't want to integrate it and find out when its too late..

    thanks for any input...

I don't think there is a payment module for Amazon payments. In this case you will have to write one, or hire someone to do it for you.

It's not talked about much because it's of limited use and not recommended.

It's way more intrusive into the core code than most payment modules and way less useful as users need to have an Amazon account to use it.

I don't know if the current module is based on the original module supplied by Amazon. If so, that module appeared to have been built as a summer project and fell short of the quality that one would like to see in a payment module from an otherwise reputable company.

The new release is relatively new - probably why it's not talked about much. I installed it and it gets used more than PayPal.

The developer personally helped me install it over Skype when he had just released it, but I don't think it's too difficult.

I uninstalled Google Checkout since it was hardly ever used, but would definitely recommend Amazon Payments. Lot's of people shop on amazon and it's a good way to cater to them =)

I installed it, great so far, but i can only get the button to work. how to i get the other features enable, most importantly i would like to see it in the list of payment option on my checkout payment page.
