XAMPP 1.4.16 Upgrade?

Hi,

We currently use XAMPP 1.4.16 to run Zencart on our local host. The local host site is mainly used as test environment prior to uploading any new modules or upgrades..

Now that we have reached v. 1.3.9H and this needs PHP 5.2 or higher, there is a need to upgrade XAMPP with the higher PHP version.

Can anyone either point us to a tutorial or else let us know how to upgrade this? Should we just uninstall and install the latest version?

Strictly speaking, but for a tiny bug which a couple edits will fix, Zen Cart v1.3.9h works fine with PHP 4.3 thru PHP 5.3.3

Nevertheless, it would still be prudent to upgrade your localhost testing server to a newer version.
