Products Name when editing disappears?

On the admin page, after upgrading to 1.3.9h from 1.3.9g, the product name shows up. However, when you click Edit, the product name fields are blank.

If you try to enter the name, model #, or wholesale price, the product will disappear from the product list. (can't even search for it)

Any suggestions?

I tried that workaround and the same thing happens. So I reverted back to before the workaround. Same thing. I am using an older version of PHP (5.1.6), but with all the security patches. It's the latest version supplied by Red Hat.

Please note that this happens whether I'm editing an existing product or adding a new product.

Any suggestions?

I would review all the files on your server to a clean v1.3.9h and add the updates that I posted and see if there is anything missing or corrupt on the server ...

Any idea why this same problem might happen even if my host is using PHP v. 5.2.12, which I know is newer than v. 5.2.3? This is on a clean install of v. 1.3.9h.
