Default Spot of bother iwth a couple of products

    Hi all,

A couple of products in my shop have been playing up lately and i'm sure its not a server related issue as it is happening with the same particular products, whilst the rest work first time everytime.

The problem appears that the page doesn't respond, you get the page title but the page itself stays white, so you have to refresh it a few times before you get the content.

I was originally putting it down to my/customer connection speeds etc, but even google webmaster tools is kicking up a fuss about certain products (like the one below) giving 'no response'.

One of the products in question is:
    http://www.lighthouse.uk.com/shop/in...roducts_id=247

Sometimes it works perfectly, some it plays up. I've removed the product and started again but with the same result. I'll skip through some more products to see if i can pinpoint more that go wrong regularly if need be.

Is there anything anyone can see thats obvious? The rest of the shop works perfect!

I'm not sure where that URL came from, since that product is inside a category and 2 subcategories, and there's no cpath in the link you provided. You don't have both products and subcategories in a category ?

    Thanks for the reply.

I don't have any products sat in a category that has sub-categories... Zen cart disallows this process in the admin area anyway. The product isn't linked either.

I didn't think you needed a cpath when you know the specific product id anyway did you? As each product id is unique. Maybe i'm wrong?

    Any other ideas?

You're right, but I guess I was thinking that it's really unlikely that a customer will enter a product URL without going through the categories, so the URL you provided may not be a valid way to test the problem.

I haven't been able to reproduce the problem on your site, though.

thanks for looking. I'll have to see if anybody else comes up with the issue.

I believe people are using the link without the cpatch due to it being listed in Google.

I think there is one possible way around it: Is there anyway of setting the page so that it contains the 'canonical' tag (and set this to the link contianing the cpath), as I believe this will inform google to display the true link instead of the shortened version?
