Hello,
I've searched the forums and found some information from swguy and his contributions, but none of them are exactly what I want.
Imaging selling a single product...let's say it's a photograph.
You can order it in different sizes (an attribute).
You can order different frame styles (another attribute).
The frame style prices should be based on the size. A larger photograph will have a larger frame cost.
How is this best done? Both from an implementation and presentation perspective?
My preference is to display the information to the customer while they are making the selection, not wait until only at check-out.
I'll complicate it slightly by saying that the frame styles attributes may also have images with them; if this is too complicated, I'm content to have a pop-up window illustrating all styles.
I have no aversion to JavaScript/PHP or any other technique to implement, but would prefer if possible to have this a configuration change. I would also like that as the visitor chooses a size, the prices for the frame styles adjust on the screen as well.
I fear that I may have to have multiple products (one at each size) and then add the frame styles to each of those as attributes, but hopefully somebody has a better technique for doing this :)
Thank you!!!!
