Using ZC 1.3.9h.
I think my client is experiencing bad email address bloat.
Under Tools> Send email, we can only send email to those with activity within the last three months without problems.
I suspect there are bad addresses causing the problem. I think a large number of bounces occur and the ISP shuts it down or some other action is occurring. We don’t know where the action stops, who received email or did not receive email but, all action stops at some point in the sending of email to those who have requested a newsletter.
I have a couple questions. I am comfortable with myPhpAdmin and have dumped, altered and reloaded SQL dbs but, there has to be a better way then brute force.
- Is the ZC email sending module throttled or wide open? Would this make a difference?
- What is the best method to clean up the list of bad email addresses? Should I just change each bad address to a honey pot when they are discovered?
- I tried Lencom email verifier on the mailing list and got nowhere because of my personal ISP. A story unto itself.
- How do I delete customers over several years old that have never completed a purchase but for some reason set up an account and never came back (a theoretical question)?
