    Default Re: Dwolla Payments module

I was having the same issue, and just changed the shippng zone to none and the checkout button works now, but I was doing a test order, when I get to the last checkout page and choose Dwolla as payment and click place order, it went to an error page, it couldn't find the page. I'm wondering if in my Dwolla settings I didn't give them the correct URL, I just did my basic url. Am I supposed to give a certain URL, like a checkout page? Thanks!

    MrSpiffy,

I have to admit that I do not use this module on my live site (although I did test it on my live site to get it working initially - I didn't like that the customer would have to put the money into their dwolla account and wait 2-3 days for it to be ready to purchase from us. So I've been holding out until the money can be instantly added from the customers' bank account to their dwolla account and then transferred to our dwolla account.), so anyway I just re-enabled it and tried it and am getting the same blank page after entering my payment id (xxx-xxx-xxxx) on the payment page and "continue".

So I'll post what I come up with here. I've added other features to the site since originally testing and I'll have to check if there's some interference, but now I'm goin' diggin' in the logs!

I don't use zones as far as I know, but we do sell internationally.

I think this has changed as of today. They are advertising instant moving of money.

I'm very interested in this because I'm launching a product that will sell for $2 and with the Dwolla payment system, transfers under $10 are free. I think its likely an up and coming payment system, but obviously I also want to also offer PayPal since a lot of people have that and Paypal allows use of credit cards which some people will want, whereas Dwolla works only by bank transfers (which is likely why it is so cheap, I mean, "value priced".

Anyway, I am not a developer, the developer working on my site said that Dwolla wasn't a payment option for Zen Cart, but from reading this thread it seems like some have figured a way to use Dwolla with Zen Cart? Any info that I could forward on to my developer would be much appreciated.

    Happy Holidays everyone.

Yes, this is brand new as of their recent announcement. It's definitely getting better!

As far as your developer the Dwolla payment module works as long as you get your API KEY and API CODE from the dwolla folks and enter (copy and paste) it in the payment module area of the admin panel when you are setting up the module.

The other thing is there is a php file here:

    (webroot%\includes\languages\english\modules\payment\dwolla.php)

You have to put on your server and edit it to include your dwolla id like this:

    (define('MODULE_PAYMENT_DWOLLA_ACCOUNT_ID', 'Dwolla Account ID (xxx-xxx-xxxx):');
by replacing the xxx-xx-xxx with your actual dwolla account number. )

There is another file and a folder with SOAP stuff you have to upload to your server but do not have to modify and instructions and files are located here:

    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=1894

Good luck and post back if you have any issues.

    MrSpiffy,

Where/how do you configure payment zones anyway? Is this something in the admin area like a tax zone? Or is this something the user sees upon checkout. I'm trying to recreate your issue, but I'm getting nowhere.

I have replicated this same problem.

sorry for missing this the 1st time around. I was revisiting the thread and just found your question.

set up zones under locations/taxes -> zones definitions. In my case, I have three zones: state, usa, worldwide, which I use to direct payment options based on the customer's location and collect local tax.

at the time, dwolla did not take international payments, so I had set the payment zone to be "usa" , which broke the module. actually setting the zone to anything other "none" broke the module, as confirmed by other posters.

so far, Ive not seen any updates to the dwolla module that addresses this issue or the much requested discount option.

I have Dwolla working (so far) on my test site but I don't like the fact that my Dwolla ID is shown.

It there a way to make not show up on the checkout process and just internally?

Does anyone else have the same feelings?

    Thanks
