    Default Customer used Forgot Password but password sent won't work

    Customer tried to login and couldn't. she clicked the forgot password link and got a password in her email to use. She tried that and it wouldn't work (said no such password).

    I have had customers say this has happened to them before and I've taken their order over the phone. I am using the most current version 1.3.9h

    Any ideas? I can log into the customers account using master password BUT I can't change the customers password because I don't know the original one...

    That does not make sense as why would one ne inputting a password to get a "no such password" message if they do not know what it is???

    Create a test customer account and see if you can re create the issue

    I do have "Checkout without Account" on the site. I can't find a way in the admin to see if the customer signed up for that option. That would make more sense to me...she signed up without creating an account so she wouldn't have a password.

    Is there a way to see which customers signed up with passwords and which did not in the admin?

    I tried creating a test account using the Checkout w/o creating an account. Then I tried the process the customer tried and got the same result. It appears she does not have a password account. Is there a way to set up something so that if a customer who does not have a password (checkout w/o account) will get a message telling them to recreate a new account because they have no password???

    If she checked out using COWOA, it specifically says "For a faster checkout experience, we offer the option to checkout without creating an account."
    So if she knows that she DIDN'T create an account, WHY is she trying to log in to an account that she knows she didn't create? THAT'S what don't make sense to me.

    I have customers that used Forgotten Password and never get the password.I am using the most current version 1.3.9h
    I read post after post and have no idea what to do to solve this issue. http://chessvideo.com is the site. If anybody could help PLEASE do. Just do not understand this. Host with godaddy. Have another zencart on gd and everything works fine. compared file and all seem the same

    What about server specs??

    I created an account and did not receive and Welcome email Registration...

    Now I clicked forgot password, then entered my email account and noticed this on the screen.
    A new password has been sent to your email address.
    Hummm... NO EMAIL......

    Something is not set up right...

    Look at these settings:
    admin panel/ configuration/ email settings
