ERROR: your cart is empty messsage upon paypal checkout/confirm order?

New install (with customers/orders ported from 1.37)
canadapost shipping mod
paypal regular (not express)

I have had one successful order to the states from canada (from an already previously registered customer), and I have tested the site successfully numerous times on Firefox and IE.
I have a customer (also a previously registered customer) as of last night that states she placed 8 items in her cart and was on the "confirm order" and goes to checkout through paypal but gets this message: ERROR: your cart is empty

Please can anyone help with this issue?

anyone? I wouldn't bump in the same day..but pretty concerned that this order cannot complete where others have.

disciple: What i personally did was turn off the option for paypal to show itemized purchases..that seemed to do the trick.
