    Default Am I in upgrade mode?

    so it says this...
    Ready to Install? (This will wipe any existing data. You are NOT in Upgrade mode!!!)

    Does that mean I am not in upgrade mode?...and why not?

    it says this below..
    Install | Upgrade Cfg Files | Re-check

    It says that because it can't find any pre-existing database to upgrade.

    If we are upgrading...and the new data base folder is empty, do we need to tansfer any current data to that folder?
    Or just proceed with the install?

    If you have no products in your database to be concerned about, proceed with a clean install. If you are upgrading because you already have products, you need to point your install at the old cart's database to upgrade it, or I suppose, import it through mysql.
