Default Couldn't Connect to Host (7)

Hi all, having a slight problem with my site. I've tried to use Paypal Express Checkout but it doesn't seem to be wanting to work. I have contacted GoDaddy and they say it's not any issue at their end so now I am stumped.

Please by all means feel free to have a go yourself to see the problem. But I'm having an error appearing at stage three of the shopping cart saying 'Couldn't Connect to Host'. I have enabled the Curl Proxy and entered the default address under 'My Store' but still no change.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Your problem is likely to be GoDaddy - without question the WORST place to host eCommerce...

You may need to see if cURL is enabled on your server. (There may be other settings that need attention too).

Best bet is to cut your losses with GoDaddy and get a properly configured VPS with a hosting company that understands eComemrce.

Hi there, thank you very much for your reply. I've been taking a look at the recommended hosts for use with ZenCart, Terra Network sound good. Anybody you yourself can recommend?

Any idea what the other settings could be?

Set Admin->Configuration->My Store->CURL Proxy Status to FALSE. It was formerly necessary to set that to true for GoDaddy servers. Thankfully that's no longer needed. Unfortunately it appears GoDaddy hasn't fixed that in their auto-installer yet.
