cannot access admin and product pages (only home page) v.3.8a

When i go to my website i can see the homepage. But when i click a product, any product, i get a blank page. The same thing happens when i try to access the admin area.

Use FTP to view files and sort by "modified date"
I think that you will find recent changes that you may not recall

I did and newest date was september. After checking i've uploaded all files which i kept as a back-up from september when it was working.

Have you asked you hosting provider what changes they have made recently.

Also have you tried installing the error logging add-on (its built-in on 1.3.9, but i think is an add-on for 1.3.8)

aparently the PHP version has changed to 5.3 which is causing some problems. I'ts not compatible with 3.8a
errormessage: Function ereg() is deprecated in ...
I have found some "solutions" (like code to change or patches) on the internet but none of them seem to work.
I think i need to upgrade to v3.9
