20% VAT rate rounding up

Hello

I have a problem where the 20% vat is causing prices to round up causing some prices to be a penny out.

UK store, all prices shown with vat.

Vat was 17.5% before so all I have done is amend the store vat rate to 20% - however when I have amended a few prices I am having the following issue

The gross price is for example £7.95
zencart works the net price to be £6.6250
price displayed on the store is £7.96

Totally stuck - but need to resolved this asap as prices advertised are not correct.

Sorry meant to say this only happens on some prices but not others - for example £3.95 shows ok but £4.95 shows as £4.96, £12.95 shows ok, but £34.95 shows as £34.96 etc....

Any help appreciated - and beer/coffee bought.

Any ideas? even if I could change the amount of digits after the decimal point - as whatever I put in zen overwrites me and adds more zeoros - i.e I add 20 it adds 20.0000

Search the forums for rounding tax*. There were some rounding errors in version 1.3.8 that have been fixed in the latest version (1.3.9h).

Cheers - had literally tried every search term under the sun - vat - vate rate error, vat rate round up, uk vat, europe vat rate etc, etc - all about the right search termology!!

Will see what I can dig out from that.

The solution seems to be to upgrade to the latest version as the looks like the wee tax 1p glitch is now been resolved - sods law - if the vat rate hadn't changed everything would be fine!

Hello

I have a new site installed (1.39h) and i have checked the new vat rate of 20% on the figures I was having problems with and it is working ok by letting me show prices as 7.95 - which shows as 7.96 on 1.38

If I find anything else out I'll give you a shout - I know what its like to be stuck!

simple fix change vat rate to 19.999 % it still works out 20% but dosent round up
