    Idea or Suggestion Install trouble

    Hi there,

just installed Zen cart for the 3rd time (my Zen Cart comes up on
on my server) BUT I cannot seem to get an admin page or find a
way to login to the admin area to modify ZC.

    Checked & re-checked the config.php files in the /admin/includes
and /includes folders but cannot see where the problem.
Went over & over the instructions but nothing is obvious to me

Any hints to put me out of my misery?
I can't seem to find other threads about this problem

    Thanks & regards

    Default Re: New Zenner

    I made the same mistake.
Originally put Zen cart into the public_html directory but go a bit confused when experiencing some problems so then deleted everything
    and added publi_html/catalog/
Only now I get a page at my domain giving a Parent directory and Catalog directory.

However, have just installed Zen cart on my domain (Zen Cart comes up ok in the /catalog directory)
BUT I cannot seem to get an admin page or find a way to login to the admin area to modify ZC
(.../catalogue/admin/ doesn't lead to the admin section. Not sure why).

    Checked & re-checked the config.php files in the /admin/includes
and /includes folders but cannot see where the problem.
Went over & over the instructions but nothing is obvious to me

    Anybody with any helpful hints?
I can't seem to find other threads about this problem

    Cheers

If you installed the latest version, you were required to change the name of the admin folder - maybe that's why the link doesn't work ? What error are you seeing - 404 ?

The page you're seeing when navigating to the root of your site means that there's no index file there. I think Zencart belongs in the root (rather than /catalog) unless you have a specific reason to place it in a subdirectory.

What version of Zencart are you installing, and how are you installing it ?
