Default Manual Upgrade (New Setup) Database Copying

I had an old store built using 1.3.8a.

For both security and service reasons, I have had to setup a new Zen Cart store from scratch.

Is there a guide, or can someone suggest steps required to import the customer accounts, sales histories, etc across from the old database to the new one?

I am fairly familiar with phpMyAdmin.

    Cheers,

    Stanbridge

Default Re: Manual Upgrade (New Setup) Database Copying

This link (below) will tell you how to upgrade a 1.38 database to 1.3.9+. It was meant for people who were creating a "test" website in a folder when upgrading a hacked site, but most of it will apply to you.

Take note to put the new site "Down For Maintenance" first. The paragraphs from 4 onwards would apply to your situation.

In Para 5 you will need to access the new database and 'Drop' all tables before importing the old db into it.
