Default Need to enter prices based in different currencies

I am having a problem entering product prices for two different currencies. How can I get zencart to allow me to select a currency when I enter a price for a product in?

Thank you all for your help!

You only enter in one currency
If you have additional currencies/languages then when selected on the frontend it will display in that selected currency

To display different currencies on (for example) a per-product basis will require significant coding. Bear in mind that not only do you have to write a module/adapt core code to actually display these prices, volatile fluctuations in currency values will need a cron running at least hourly if your prices are to be rendered accurately.

Just be happy with zencart's inherent ability for customers to select a site-wide currency rendition. People may be stupid, but not that stupid to select their desired currency from the currency drop-down.

    Thanks for the quick replies!

I have no problem with the zencart only being able to display to customers 1 currency at a time (site wide). My problem is that 50% of my suppliers quote me in canadian and 50% in USD. I just want to have the option of entering a product price in USD or CDN - when customers are shopping online it will then show prices based on the currency they select reflecting the current rate of exchange. I have no problem with updating the currencies daily (through the button in zencart) i just cant choose the currency i enter for a specific item on an item by item basis.

    Ex.
    Item A = i get for $100 CDN
    Item B = i get for $100 USD

I want both items to display in CDN but have the ability to enter USD. This will save me a lot of time in haveing to manually change prices every day.

If this cannot be done, is there possibly a way to change all prices by a percentage for all itmes to a specific manufacture only?

Thanks again, you guys are great!

When you enter a product convert its price in your secondary currency to your base currency and enter that. Then, when you click to Update Currencies it gets updated correctly on the shop front.

You can also set up a Cron Job to run the Currency Update script each day, or more than once each day.
