Product configuration - Products depend on each other

I would like to setup a product that is actually a selectable list of other products.

Example:

A customer wants to purchase a "Kit" of trees that contains (6) each of (3) different trees.

The list of selectable products to put in the kit would have to be dependent on inventory levels of those products (trees).

The number of selections would be predetermined. As in the example above, the kit would contain (3) drop down lists of trees for the customer to select from.

Pricing is not an issue, as the price for the "Kit" is the same no matter what the customer selects.

Is this possible? It's even difficult to explain, I hope my explanation makes sense.
